Massage
Therapy
Massage therapy effects all systems
of the body. It is typically defined as soft tissue manipulation
and includes a variety of techniques that are usually performed
with oil directly on the skin. It is an appropriate therapy for
many conditions, yielding benefits such as improved blood circulation
& lymphatic flow. It can reduce stress and muscle tension,
and has the ability to decrease pain and increase range of motion
& flexibility. It can be utilized for therapeutic purposes
to support recovery from injury or strain, and can also be used
as a relaxation method to relieve anxiety or energetic overload.
Thai
Yoga Massage
Thai
Yoga Massage is an interactive manipulation of the body using
passive stretching and gentle pressure along energy lines. Practiced
on a floor mat in comfortable clothing, these movements have many
of the same benefits of traditional massage therapy including
increased flexibility and decreased muscular & joint tension.
Its primary aim is to facilitate a sense of unity, wholeness and
balance within the body. Receiving Thai Yoga massage is a bit
like doing yoga without putting forth all the effort.
Phoenix
Rising Yoga Therapy
Phoenix Rising Yoga Therapy encourages a deeper connection with
self and a greater awareness of how the body holds stories of
day-to-day life experiences. It begins with a centering process
that allows the body to express intention and then utilizes supported
yoga postures, and non-directive dialoguing in order to reveal
connections between the physical and emotional levels. Using breath
and integration techniques, this connection is held and explored,
fostering release, personal growth and healing.
Integrative
Yoga Therapy
Integrative Yoga Therapy is a multidimensional approach to healing
based on the core principles of yoga teachings. It can address
the physical, energetic, psycho-emotional, wisdom and spiritual
levels of the body. It is an organic session that is built upon
the present needs of the client. Focus may be on developing an
individual program of yoga postures suitable for specific intentions,
or may be on exploring body responses to movement, breath, sound
or somatic practices. Sessions may revolve around structural or
energetic issues and tend to unfold a more present sense of enlightenment
towards a variety of issues affecting the feeling of wholeness.
