Naturopathic Medicine

Our Naturopathic Doctor (ND) offers an optional initial 15-20 minute free phone consult. This consult gives one the opportunity to ask questions about the process of working with an ND, and allows a person to chat with our naturopathic doctor, to see if they feel it will be good connection.

The first official visit with our ND can either be booked following the initial free phone consult or directly. If you are familiar with naturopathic care and/or have had an encouraging referral it is often not necessary to book the free consult. This first visit is 1.5 to 2 hrs in length and is basically an ‘intake’ appointment. There are health history forms that need to be filled out prior to the visit (please see ‘forms’ section on our website), which would be brought in at the time of this first appointment. Further health and lifestyle information will gathered in this first visit, along with a detailed review of your health goals and desires.

Following the first visit, you may be required to get a series of assessments done in regards to food sensitivities or other issues. This will be very dependent on what you present with and want to work on. Most often, you are referred to outside sources for these assessments.

Once assessments have been completed, you would book a follow-up visit (45-60 minutes in length), where our naturopathic doctor will give you a program to begin working with (this visit is usually booked 1-2 weeks after your first appointment).

At this point, you are an active client with our ND, and you may feel free to book further visits as necessary (generally 45 minutes in length as appropriate).
